P7 STUDENTS
Deirdre Ann Academy is a primary school with over 300 students in Preschool classes through P7. It has been under the direction of Madrine Nalukwago and currently Joseph Asiimwe. Madrine is studying to be a midwife, but remains supportive to the school and the students.
There are 12 P7 students who are preparing to take their exams in November. This is the first class to reach grade P7 and to take these exams. Their scores will determine what Secondary School they can apply to. All of these students are hard working, bright, and determined.
Joseph and his faculty have done an amazing job preparing the students for their exams.
They took a mock exam and placed second in the district. Joseph's goal is for them to place first in their November exams.
Taking a break after a morning of studying
Loving their ballet classes and attire!
The P7 students were celebrated for their accomplishments by family, friends and local dignitaries.
Marianne and I are working to form a non-profit, Reaching Beyond Globally, which will raise funds to ensure all P7 students who want to go on to Secondary School can. Some are absolutely bright enough with an amazing future ahead, but may not have the funds.
